Information We Collect (Minimal)
1. Basic Account Information (Google OAuth Only)
We collect minimal information solely from Google OAuth authentication:
- Email address (from Google OAuth only, not stored beyond account necessity)
- Basic profile name (from Google OAuth only)
- Profile picture URL (optional, from Google OAuth only)
- Encrypted session tokens (automatically deleted when you log out)
- Minimal account preferences (language, basic settings only)
We do NOT collect additional account information beyond Google OAuth.
Authentication Security Notice
IMPORTANT: VidSeeds does NOT store your Google or YouTube login credentials (username/password) at any point during the authentication process. We use industry-standard OAuth 2.0 authentication, which means: (1) You authenticate directly with Google's secure servers, (2) We only receive temporary access tokens that allow us to access YouTube data on your behalf, (3) We NEVER see, receive, or store your actual Google/YouTube password, (4) Access tokens are encrypted and automatically expire, (5) You can revoke our access at any time through Google's security settings.
2. Automatically Collected Usage Data (Minimal)
We automatically collect limited data for basic service operation:
- IP addresses (for security and rate limiting, not stored long-term)
- Basic browser and device information (for compatibility, minimal details)
- Usage logs (for service operation, automatically deleted after 30 days)
- Error logs (for debugging, automatically deleted after 7 days)
- Video files temporarily uploaded (automatically deleted immediately after processing)
- Basic session duration (for security, not stored long-term)
We do NOT track you across websites or build detailed profiles.
3. YouTube Data (When You Explicitly Connect)
When you choose to connect your YouTube account, we access minimal data to provide our services. We process this information to provide optimization features and do not share it with external parties except as described in Section 5:
- Basic public channel information (name, public channel ID)
- Public video metadata (title, description, when you provide video URLs)
- Limited channel statistics (public data only, no private analytics)
- Video optimization settings you create
- Upload history you initiate through our service
You control what YouTube data you share. You can disconnect at any time.
You are responsible for complying with YouTube's Terms of Service.
Revoking VidSeeds Access to Your YouTube Data
You can revoke VidSeeds' access to your YouTube data at any time through the Google security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/connections?filters=3,4&hl=en. After revocation, we will no longer be able to access your YouTube account data. Note that revoking access does not automatically delete data already stored in our systems - to request deletion of stored data, please contact us at privacy@vidseeds.ai.

Where privacy laws require legal bases for processing, we rely on:
- Contractual Necessity: Processing necessary to provide the service you requested

How We Use, Process, and Share Your Information:
Account Information Usage:
Your Google account information (email, name, profile picture) is used exclusively for: (1) Account authentication and login verification, (2) Personalizing your VidSeeds experience, (3) Communicating with you about your account and service updates, (4) Providing customer support. We do NOT share your account information with third parties except as described in the Data Sharing section below.
YouTube Data Usage:
When you connect your YouTube account, we process your YouTube data as follows: (1) Channel information is used to identify your channel and provide optimization suggestions, (2) Video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) is analyzed by our AI systems to generate optimization recommendations, (3) Video content is processed temporarily for analysis and immediately deleted after processing, (4) We do NOT modify your YouTube videos without your explicit instruction, (5) We do NOT share your YouTube data with external parties except as necessary to provide our service (see Data Sharing section).
Processing Methods:
Your information is processed using: (1) Automated AI systems for content analysis and optimization suggestions, (2) Secure cloud infrastructure for data storage and processing, (3) Encrypted transmission protocols for all data transfers, (4) Automated deletion systems that remove temporary data immediately after processing.
Information Sharing Details:
We share your information only as follows: (1) With service providers who help us operate VidSeeds (cloud hosting, AI processing, payment processing) - these providers are contractually bound to use your data only for providing their services to us, (2) When legally required by law enforcement or court orders, (3) To protect our rights or prevent harm, (4) With your explicit consent for specific purposes. We do NOT sell your information to anyone.
Data Sharing (Extremely Limited)
- Cloud Infrastructure Providers (Google Cloud): Host our application and store encrypted data
- AI Service Providers (OpenAI, Google Vertex AI): Process video content for optimization suggestions - they receive only the specific data needed for processing
- Payment Processors (Stripe): Process subscription payments - they receive only payment information, not your YouTube data
- Analytics Tools: Receive anonymized usage data only - no personal identifiers
We DO NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone under any circumstances.
How VidSeeds Uses and Processes Your Information
We use your information strictly for providing our service: (1) Your Google account information is used solely for authentication and account management, (2) Your YouTube channel data is processed to provide video optimization suggestions, (3) Video metadata and captions are analyzed by our AI systems to generate optimization recommendations, (4) All processing is done to provide you with the features you explicitly request.
Internal Data Handling
Your data is accessed only by: (1) Our automated systems that process video optimization requests, (2) Our security systems that protect against abuse, (3) Our support team only when you contact us for assistance. We maintain strict access controls and all employees with data access are bound by confidentiality agreements.
External Data Sharing
We share your data with these categories of third parties only as necessary to provide our service:

- Legal Requirements: Only when legally mandated, deleted as soon as legally permissible
Automatic Deletion: Most data is automatically deleted without manual intervention.
How to Delete Your Data and Revoke Access

You have full control over your data. Here's how to delete your stored data and revoke VidSeeds' access:
- Your account profile and preferences
- All stored YouTube channel and video data
- All optimization history and saved suggestions
- All session tokens and authentication data
- All associated metadata and logs
Visit the Google security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/connections?filters=3,4&hl=en to revoke VidSeeds' access to your YouTube account. This immediately stops VidSeeds from accessing your YouTube data.

Log into VidSeeds and go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will permanently delete all data associated with your account from our systems.
If you want to ensure all data is deleted without logging in, or if you have questions about data deletion, email us at privacy@vidseeds.ai with the subject line 'Data Deletion Request'. Include your email address associated with the account. We will process your request within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please export any data you wish to keep before deletion.
Procedure for Deleting Stored Data:
To delete data stored by VidSeeds: (1) Revoke access through Google security settings (link provided above), (2) Delete your VidSeeds account through Settings > Account > Delete Account, (3) Contact us at privacy@vidseeds.ai if you need assistance or want to verify deletion. We will delete all stored data within 30 days of your request.
How to Revoke VidSeeds Access to Your Data:
You can revoke VidSeeds' access to your YouTube data at any time through Google's security settings page: https://myaccount.google.com/connections?filters=3,4&hl=en. After revocation: (1) VidSeeds will immediately lose access to your YouTube account, (2) We will no longer be able to fetch or update your YouTube data, (3) Existing data stored in our systems will remain until you delete your account or request deletion, (4) You can reconnect your YouTube account at any time by re-authorizing through VidSeeds.
